Remote Meter Reading

“Water Supply and Sewerage” EAD – Burgas informs its customers that the Company offers a free remote meter reading service.

As of June 2026, we have the software and hardware for remote meter reading of the following water meters:

• DIEHL with a radio module;

• AXIOMA with a built-in radio module (ultrasonic water meter);

• ENGELMANN WATER STAR M with a built-in radio module (supplied by “VIK Expert” EOOD);

• QUNDIS Qwater 5.5, Qmodule 5.5, with a built-in radio module;

• SIEMENS WFK636, WFZ661, with built-in radio module;

• TECHEM OMS (purchased from Belchevstroy and Izmervatelni Sistemi);

• SONTEX Superaqua 1;

• APATOR POWOGAZ with NAXOM, AT-WMBUS-NA-1, AT-WMBUS-04, and AT-WMBUS-16 radio modules;

• APATOR POWOGAZ – ULTRIMIS (ultrasonic water meter);

• ZENNER – with EDC and PDC radio modules.

“Water Supply and Sewerage” EAD – Burgas reserves the right to make changes to this list and informs its customers that, for their convenience, it has authorized the following companies to perform removal, installation, delivery of new water meters, and their sealing to the network: “VIK Expert” EOOD (tel. 0875 363545), “Measuring Systems” EOOD (tel. 0879 647374), and “Smart Flow” OOD.

For our customers who have chosen to purchase and install new remote-reading water meters on their own, the Company reminds you that an application for their connection to the network must be submitted at our customer service center within three days, and the old meter must be retained for subsequent meter reading.

In light of certain unfair commercial practices, “Water Supply and Sewerage” EAD – Burgas recommends that the meters be purchased from sales representatives or distributors of the respective water meter brands, and that the following be required of them:

• The meters must have a built-in radio module or a synchronized one, if the radio module is an additional component of the water meter;

• A warranty for the mechanical/hardware components of the water meter;

• A warranty for software compatibility and its future availability for the water meter;

• The year of the water meter’s assessed conformity must be the current year or no older than the year prior to the year of purchase (the number following the CE marking is the year of assessed conformity);

• Provision of the second virtual key (numeric code) for the water meter, if it has one and/or if it is part of the new requirements for the platform for meters with two encrypted keys;
