pursuant to Article 13 of the GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION for customers of “WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE” EAD – CITY OF BURGAS
DEAR CUSTOMERS,
As our customers, we would like to inform you of upcoming changes
in the legal framework governing personal data, which will affect the way we
process your personal data.
As of May 25, 2018, the
so-called General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), whose full title
is Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the
Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with
regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of
such data.
I. In order to ensure the fair and transparent processing of
your data by “Water Supply and Sewerage” EAD
, Burgas (the “Company”), PLEASE FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH YOUR RIGHTS pursuant
to Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation, namely:
1. Upon your request, you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you
that the Company holds in its capacity as a data controller
, in a structured, commonly used, and
machine-readable format;
2. You have the right to request that ViK Burgas transfer this data
directly to another controller without any hindrance on our part;
3. In the event of a change in certain circumstances regarding your personal data, you
have the right to request that we correct such data, as well as the right
to request the erasure of some or all of the personal data you have provided
to the Company and which it processes, provided that
“Water Supply and Sewerage” EAD, Burgas, is not subject to any legal
obligation regarding the processing, including the storage, of such
data. Such an obligation applies for the duration of your contractual relationship
with “Water Supply and Sewerage” EAD, Burgas, as the
processing of personal data is necessary for the
Company to fulfill its obligations as a provider of water supply and sewerage services;
4. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal
data when you believe that it is not being processed lawfully
;
5. In the event of a dispute with the Company, you have the right to file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection
Commission regarding the lawfulness of the
processing of your personal data.You may exercise
the rights set forth in the preceding points by submitting
a request to the Company’s Management at ***Burgas, 8001, 3 General Vladimir

.*II. In addition to the above, please note that your data will be
processed and stored by the Company solely for the purposes of
fulfilling the contractual relationship between you and “Water Supply and
Sewerage” EAD, Burgas. The period during which the Company is legally required to process your personal data is specified by law as follows:
a) for accounting documents—10 years, starting from January 1 of the reporting
period following the reporting period to which they relate;
b) for all other documents in accordance with the File Classification System,
approved by the Territorial State Archives – Burgas, and the maintained
registers, in accordance with the “Instructions for the Processing of Personal Data at ‘Vodnosnabdyavane i Kanalizatsiya’ EAD
– Burgas and the Technical and Organizational Measures for Their Protection.”**
III.** We hereby inform you that “Water Supply and Sewerage” EAD, Burgas
, takes the security of your personal data seriously. We apply an appropriate
level of protection and, to this end, have developed reasonable physical

documentary procedures to safeguard the data we collect from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss,
alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access to personal data that is transmitted, stored, or otherwise processed

security policies and procedures are closely aligned with widely accepted international
standards and are regularly reviewed and updated as necessary
to meet our business needs, changes in
technology, and regulatory requirements. Access to your personal data is
granted only to those employees and service providers of the
Company who need the information for business purposes
or who require it to fulfill their job or contractual
obligations.
IV. Please also note that “Water Supply and Sewerage” EAD

1. competent state and municipal institutions;
2. to banks, non-bank financial institutions, companies providing postal
and courier services, as well as companies providing collection services
with which the Company has a service agreement for the processing of payments
, including the acceptance of cash payments, for amounts owed for
water and sewerage services;
3. specialized companies that provide technical support
for the software products used by the Company, for the purpose of performing
such technical support - These companies have access
to your data only to the extent that they have access to the system product itself,
which is carried out under the supervision of a company employee to ensure maximum
protection of your data.
