Lozenech Wastewater Treatment Plant
The Lozenech Wastewater Treatment Plant treats wastewater from the village of Lozenech and the Lozenech residential area and is designed as a standard modular facility with a capacity of 3,000 PE. The plant has a hydraulic capacity of 1,000 m³/d and an annual water flow of 365,000 m³/y.
The main treatment process takes place in the following facilities:
• an 8 m³ intake chamber equipped with a screen;
• a sand trap;
• a two-stage clarifier;
• biological treatment stage;
• ultrasonic flow meter.
The treatment plant has been transferred to “Water Supply and Sewerage” EAD, Burgas, for management, maintenance, and operation.
The treated wastewater is discharged into a dry ravine, which flows into the Black Sea 1,500 m downstream.
