PSPV Yasna Polyana
The “Yasna Polyana” Water Treatment Plant treats water from the “Yasna Polyana” Reservoir and was put into operation in 1974. In 2020, “Water Supply and Sewerage” EAD, Burgas, is implementing a project titled “Integrated Water Project for the Burgas Region.” The project is being implemented with financial support from the “Environment 2014–2020” Operational Program. The total project budget is 459.3 million BGN, of which 323.7 million BGN is grant funding. The project includes the construction of a treatment facility for process wastewater generated by effluent from sedimentation tanks and filter bed backwashing.
The “Yasna Polyana” WWTP is designed for a flow rate of 1.3 m³/s, of which 40 l/s is for internal use.
The main facilities located on the grounds of the “Yasna Polyana” WWTP are:
• a cylindrical gate;
• a distribution chamber;
• a sludge chute;
• mixers;
• a chemical storage area and chlorination room;
• clarifiers—6 units;
• filters—9 units;
• a machine room with clean water pumps and blowers.
Process wastewater is discharged into the Dyavolska River.
The treated water at the WWTP outlet complies with the requirements of Ordinance No. 9 of March 16, 2001, on the quality of water intended for drinking and domestic use.
